He or she cannot stop meditating for the entire "Casting Time:".

The Spiritualist can use a Familiar as follows: 1. Do the Spiritualist's commands without question. 2. See and hear through the Familiar's eyes and ears. 3. Each Familiar type will endow the Spiritualist with an ability as follows (all other rulings and abilities for each familiar will be strictly to the discretion of the Game Master (G.M.):
Childress Phantom: Bonus of +1 (+1 per 3 levels advanced) to aid the caster with appeasing and befriending a spirit).
Lumination (the outline of a humanoid spirit): Bonus of +1 (+1 per 3 levels advanced) to aid the caster with dominating and controlling a spirit).
Spirit Cat: Bonus of +1 (+1 per 3 levels advanced) to aid the caster with evading the touch of a spirit).
Spirit Dragon: Bonus of +1-D4 (+1-D4 per 3 levels advanced) spell-damage vs. spirits).
Spirit Hawk: Bonus of +1 (+1 per 3 levels advanced) added to avoidance-rolls to become aware of spirits).
Spirit Healer: Bonus of +1-D6 (+1-D6 per 3 levels advanced) when healing spiritual wounds on self or another.
Spirit Owl: Bonus of +1 (+1 per 3 levels advanced) to aid the caster with abilities, powers and spells that evade the notice of spirits. This also applies to all perceived allies within 6 spaces (30') of the caster.
Spirit Warrior: Bonus of +1-D6 (+1-D6 per 3 levels advanced) damage when striking a spirit with a spiritual weapon. If the weapon used is not enchanted to damage spirits, it will still cause 1-D6 (+1-D6 per 3 levels of the caster).
Spirit Wolf: Bonus of +1 (+1 per 3 levels advanced) to aid the caster in tracking and locating a spirit).
Wraithkin: The caster can become spirit for 1-D4 turns (+1-D4 turns per 3 levels advanced). While in spirit form, the caster can see into the world of spirits, and can physically effect them, as he or she would effect any normal person with a physical body.
